An MBA in shipping finance and logistics with 19 years of experience in entrepreneurial businesses, Mohit Gill is the India Marketing Head for Phive Rivers Retail Pvt. Ltd. He spent the first 15 years in commercial shipping industry as resigned as the CEO of Spice Energy Shipping due to the adverse market conditions created by the 2008 world financial crisis. Thereafter got involved in the Leather business and this by Incepting his illustrious career in 2009 with, Elements Exports Pvt. Ltd. A well reputed Leather products design house. Adapting quickly to the change, he opened the doors for the company into the Indian domestic market, where he had an experience of working with top fashion brands like Woodland, Lifestyle, W, Lavie, Benetton India, Blackberry, Future group etc in his short yet impactful career with the company. In 2013, he was instrumental in starting Phive Rivers Retail Pvt. Ltd. as the marketing company for the Brand Phive Rivers SRL. Created with a vision to showcase a talented team of artisans that labor to design a beautiful luxury bag, Phive Rivers has been developed as a brand which crafts eye-catching yet industrious products that combine modern and pioneering forms to create engaging products. He was directly instrumental in getting the brand to list and showcase in over 50 online market places globally in a short span on 1 year. Using this experience, in 2016 he launched an Online Services Platform “ Global sell “, where a software has been developed to provide automation for creating product catalogs, to list on multiple websites. In short reducing time to get products live online and saving precious lost sales days. Seems to have taken care of a pain point, as today Global Sell is used by nearly 200 vendors, over a short span of 6 months. Realizing this process would generate uniform and error free catalogs / content, that would reduce expensive support team costs for market places, the next plan is to work with online markets to reduce their operating costs appreciably. He has plans to create Global sell as an Online Service Provider that would help sellers to automate their complete online business cycle and provide the largest choice of online markets to list on globally, via a single window.
